Celtic Cross Cake

New cake made for a friend of mine. Her daughter just had her first communion yesterday. Fondant covered white cake with vanilla butter cream. Decorated Celtic cross with sugar flowers. Hope you enjoy! This cake was a lot of fun to make. My first cross....

This is one of my most recent cakes made. It was my first attempt to use white modeling chocolate for the entire cake. The cupcake on top was a rice crispy treat and the cones were the same, covered with modeling chocolate. All the candy was made of modeling chocolate. I thought about just buying the candy strips but wanted the entire cake to be edible. The people were loved the cake! It was definitely a pleasure making this for them.

Chocolate birthday cake

This cake is a 6"chocolate cake with my Chocolate Mocha frosting with white chocolate crumble and piping. With a touch of pecan crumble on the sides. This was ordered by a mother living in Maryland that has a son that goes to Hobart in Geneva, New York. She said it was his first time away from home and she didn't want him to not have a cake for his birthday. He was so happy and couldn't wait to eat it!!! I loved being a part of that. Mom's are the best creatures on earth!

This cake ones one of my favorite cakes, just because it came back with such wonderful feedback. It was reported by the hotel employees to be the best tasting cake they had ever eaten!! Yay!!!!
